The first conference on tourism investment in the eastern part of the country (Razavi, North & South Khorasans, Kerman, Sistan and Baluchestan and Semnan provinces) was held at Pars Hotel in Mashhad city in October 2019.
According to ECI public relations, present at the event were private sector investors and tourism activists plus Ali Asghar Mounsan, Minister of Tourism; Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, president of the ECO Cultural Institute; Hossein Arbabi, Deputy Minister of Tourism in Investment; Director Generals and deputies in investment of the Cultural Heritage Organization in the six provinces; Governors of Khorasan Razavi, Sistan and Baluchestan, Semnan and South Khorasan Provinces; Deputy Governors of Kerman and North Khorasan Provinces; Members of the Iranian Parliament's Tourism Fraction; Chairman of Iran Chamber of Commerce and other members; Consulate Generals of the embassies of Turkey, Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Iraq plus governors, mayors of six provinces.
The conference aimed to introduce investment opportunities and packages and provide investment incentives for six eastern provinces. At the sidelines of the conference, forums and expert panels were held.
