During a ceremony held on Monday, October 14, 2019, five books published by the ECO Cultural Institute were launched at ECO Diplomatic Conference Hall. Present at the ceremony were the President of ECO Cultural Institute, representatives of Tajikistan and Afghanistan embassies, ECI advisors, directors and staff, a group of scholars and outstanding cultural as well as academic figures and authors,
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Mazaheri referred to ECI's activities in the fields of sports, tourism, museums, libraries, as well as the establishment of the ECO Cultural Fraction in the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, as well as media unions of ECOMU, ECO Digital and ECO Press and termed culture as the connecting, integration and peaceful dialogue among civilizations.
The president of the ECO Cultural Institute further emphasized the need for cultural exchange between societies as the driving factor in the path of development and enhancement, and highlighted the creations of scholars, poets, writers and artists in the field of science, literature and art, among the important elements of cultural diplomacy that play a decisive role in the recognition of the national identity of the societies and support the authenticity of the history and development of the nations.
Other speakers of the ceremony were Dr. Ali Akbar Mousavi Movahedi, Secretary General of the Secretariat for the Advancement of Science and Technology in the Islamic World; Dr. Hakimeh Dastranji, head of publications department of Payam Noor university and author of the book 'Iran & Iqbal (Historical-Content Analysis of Iqbal Studies in Iran); Dr. Seyed Morteza Mousavian and Dr. Alireza Salehi, Members of ECI Research Council; Dr. Azam Molaee, author, translator and scholar of political sciences and international relations and the author of the book 'The Role of Cultural Cooperation in the Economic Development of ECO Member Countries'.
'Literature, the Common Heritage of ECO Nations' compiled by Ms. Zahra Aslani; 'Future Studies of Government & Media' written by Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri and edited and laid out by Ms. Zahra Aslani; 'Iran & Iqbal (Historical-Content Analysis of Iqbal Studies in Iran)' written by Dr. Hakimeh Dastranji, with the foreword by Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, president of the international body, and edited by Ms. Roqieh Badie Gohar; 'Nameh-ye Norouz' written by Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri and edited by Ms. Zahra Aslani and 'The Role of Cultural Cooperation in the Economic Development of ECO Member Countries' written by Dr. Azam Molai and edited and laid out by Ms. Zahra Aslani were the books launched at the ceremony.
