Celebrated Iranian vocalist and Kamancheh virtuoso, Kayhan Kalhor, won the Artist Award of the globalFEST 2020, ECI public relations quoted Khabaronline news agency as saying.
The Award ceremony of the globalFEST 2020 was held in the evening of Tuesday January 14, 2020 U.S. time in New York city.
As the first Iranian musician, Kayhan Kalhor had previously won the Artist Award at the WOMEX Awards in 2019. Moreover, he had won 2017 Grammy Award as one of the musicians of Silk Road Ensemble formed by Yo-Yo Ma, the Chinese-American Cello virtuoso.
