Uzbekistan to Cooperate More with ECI
On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, Sarvar Bakhti, the ECI president, met and talked with H.E. Bakhodir Abdullaev, the Uzbekistan Ambassador to Iran.

According to ECI public relations, at the meeting the ECI president stated that strengthening and developing regional cooperation through arts and cultural programs is on the top of his working agenda. He went on saying: "Uzbekistan is one of the culturally rich countries of the region with unquestionable commonalities with other countries of the region in terms of history, arts and cultural heritage and its arts, architecture and historical attractions are universally known. Therefore, accession of the country to ECI charter as full member brings multifaceted interests".
In his turn, H.E. Bakhodir Abdullaev, Uzbekistan ambassador in Tehran, expressed that the embassy eagerly welcomes cooperation with ECI and will accompany the Institute in organizing cultural projects.
H.E. Abdullaev went on saying that the country would like to organize programs to honor the common luminaries of the region because the more these shared personalities are recognized, the stronger the bonds will grow and the lesser the political differences will become. Moreover, it will contribute to fostering mutual and multilateral relations.
At the end of the meeting, once again the two sides emphasized on strengthening relations and cooperation on the basis of shared culture and historical heritage.
