'Sazineh', the first exhibition of musical instruments from ECO member states will be held at ECO Diplomatic Art Gallery.
According to ECI public relations, at the two-day exhibit, musical instruments from ECO countries such as Oud, Tonbak, Balaban, Gopuz, Kamancheh, Daf, Rabab, Ta'bla, Naqareh and Setar, made by artists of ECO region will be on display.
'Sazineh' exhibition is the first of its kind in ECO member states and aims to familiarize the audience with musical instruments. The interesting point is that most of these instruments have gone through similar changes across the ECO region both in the past and present and are widely used today. This is witness to the fact that the peoples of this region possess a shared history even in the field of music.
It is worth mentioning that the above exhibition is being organized with the cooperation and consultation of Ms. Zhila Taqavi, musicologist and the leader of the international music ensemble 'Nava-ye Melal'.
The inaugural ceremony of Sazineh exhibition will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at ECO Diplomatic Art Gallery.
