A memorandum of understanding was signed among the National Carpet Museum of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Russia's Hermitage Museum.
Present at the signing ceremony were Mikhail Piotrovski, director of Hermitage Museum and Shirin Malikova, director of Republic of Azerbaijan's National Carpet Museum.
Based on the MoU, the sides are to conduct joint activities in the field of history, culture, customs and traditions and exchange of information. Moreover, a catalog of carpets of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be held at Hermitage Museum. Another program agreed upon was holding a joint exhibition in November 2020.
It is worth mentioning that the National Carpet Museum of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the country's first museum to sign MoU with Russia's Hermitage Museum.
