4th Fajr Int'l Handicrafts & Traditional Arts Festival Wraps Up
The closing ceremony of the 4th Fajr Int'l Handicrafts & Traditional Arts Festival was held at the Conference Hall of Iran National Museum with the presence of Dr. Mounesan, Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism.

According to ECI public relations quoting CHTN news agency, at the event, the caretaker of the office for the development and promotion of Handicrafts at the deputy ministry for handicrafts and traditional arts said that the event aimed to discover new talents and establish a competitive environment for presenting best handicrafts. Hossein Khajeh Beidokhti further added that 450 entries were submitted to the Festival's secretariat among which 300 were selected and 250 ones put on display.
Khajeh Beidokhti continued that the jury of the 4th edition of the festival comprised of university professors and outstanding artists such as Ashoori, Sharifzadeh, Afshar, ... who selected seven artists to receive silver Cedar (the Festival's top award) and 4 artists to receive diplomas of appreciation.
The 4th Fajr Int'l Handicrafts & Traditional Arts Festival hosted 250 handicrafts in different fields of art such as illumination, marquetry, Kilim weaving, woodturning, traditional jewelry, pottery and ceramics, painting on bone and needlework.
