An exhibition of exquisite, historical marriage documents was opened at the Museum of Books and Documentary Heritage of Iran National Library.
According to ECI public relations quoting the public relations of Iran National Library, at the exhibition held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima al-Zahra (s.a.) and Women's day, a number of exquisite and historical marriage documents purchased by Iran National Library or donated to this organization, was displayed for the public for the first time.
The exhibit displays 25 marriage documents the oldest of which dates back to Afsharid Era and 24 ones to the Qajar rule. The smallest document is 10*3 and the biggest one at least 70*100 cm.
The exhibition of the exquisite, historical marriage documents runs until February 29, 2020 at the Museum of Books and Documentary Heritage of Iran National Library and those interested, may visit the display during working hours.
