On Monday February 10, 2020, Sarvar Bakhti, ECI president, met with Mohsen Javadi, Deputy Minister in Cultural Affairs of the I.R.I. Ministry of Culture & Islamic Guidance.
According to ECI public relations, at the meeting the ECI president pointed to the supports rendered by the Ministry towards ECI activities during the previous years and expressed hope that the Ministry will continue providing such supports as before.
Next, Mohsen Javadi welcomed the new ECI president and stated that fine opportunities are available at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and he hopes that proper opportunities will also be provided for the expansion of cultural interactions among the regional countries through ECI.
Iran's cultural capabilities and the necessity of cultural interaction of ECO countries, developments of printing and packaging industry in Iran, market of cultural commodities in the region and Tehran International Book Fair were among the topics discussed by the parties at the meeting.
The meeting concluded with the two sides emphasizing on strengthening cooperation between the host country and the ECO member states to establish deeper bonds.
