The international professional meeting and workshop titled " UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Legal Aspects" was held on February 15, 2020 in the Conference Center of National Library and Archives in Shiraz.
At the meeting organized by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization; Directorate General for Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Fars Province as well as the Research Institute for Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism (RICHT) in cooperation with Shiraz University, University of Bologna and IsMEO Institute of Italy, challenges and obstacles in the way of perseveration of world heritage and finding proper legal solutions for their protection were examined.
Present at the event were Dr. Talebian, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization; Dr. Behrooz Omrani, head of as the Research Institute for Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism (RICHT); Dr. Enayatollah Rahimi, governor of Fars province; Prof. Marc-André Renold, Director of the Art-Law Centre of the University of Geneva, Switzerland; Prof. Adriano Rossi, President of IsMeo Institute and other outstanding national figures.
