The movie 'Stepnyak (Çölçü, meaning someone from the steppes)', directed by Shamil Aliyev from the Republic of Azerbaijan, was awarded at the US Mindfield Film Festival.
According to ECI public relations quoting Day.Az, the movie had been produced in 2012 by Azerbaijan Film studio and its scenario was written by Vidadi Hasanov.
So far, the movie has been screened in more than 60 international cinema festivals and has been given more than 30 awards.
The movie is about Stepnyak who lives in the steppes far away from city in the heart of nature and his father teaches him the delicacies of living in such environment. Upon the demise of his father, Stepnyak meets a girl and the course of his life changes.
