According to ECI public relations quoting the public relations of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, 'On Their Own Terms' has been written by Fouzia Saeed on women's movements during early 21st century and covers the internal dynamics of women's social movements in Pakistan. Often Pakistani women are considered as the absolute victims of atrocities; however, in this book the author shows how they can prove their will for changing not only their own lives but also that of the others. To this end, the book offers details of four successful movements of women that have formed since the year 2000 and also presents important information about the key role players of these movements, their issues and challenges as well as the solutions they found.
