At a conference held in Khujand, Tajikistan, the Tajik women were invited to use national dress.
According to ECI public relations quoting Khovar news agency, the conference titled 'We wear national dress' was held in Khujand city, the capital of Sughd province in Tajikistan.
The conference was organized at the initiative of Women and Family section of Khujand municipality and aimed to focus on national Tajik traditions and promotion of folk arts and national rituals.
At the conference, Muyassara Qahhori, in charge of Women and Family section of Khujand municipality, emphasized that in the current circumstances that in many world countries the national traditions and customs are fading away and sometimes diminishing, we make our best efforts to preserve Tajik cultural richness.
Qahhori went on saying that it is obvious that Tajiks have a diverse and rich cultural background and we invited the Tajik women to use their national costumes to create more a sense of aesthetics and also contribute to the preservation of national costumes and rituals.
