The director general of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Malard County said that the profile of this County's poppy flower fields is being prepared for inclusion in the list of Iran's natural heritage.
According to ECI public relations quoting the public relations department of Tehran's Directorate General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, Hamdi Karimi added: "National registration of Malard County's poppy fields will both contribute to the preservation of this valuable natural heritage and also better introduce this natural attraction to the potential tourists during spring season.
He went on saying that annually, during April-May, red poppy flowers bloom across hundreds of acres of Malard flatlands which are entitled to be registered at the country's Natural Heritage List due to its beauty and grandeur. These Poppy fields are located 25 kilometers to the west-south of Safadasht city in Malard County.
