Iranian Academy of Arts Mounts Online Exhibition of Shahnameh Miniatures
Coinciding with the commemoration day of Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi, the Iranian Academy of Arts showcases some miniature works of Shahnameh in an online exhibit.

According to ECI public relations quoting Mehr news agency, coinciding with May 14 as the commemoration Day of Ferdowsi, the Iranian Academy of Arts has put on display some of the miniature works illustrating Shahnameh stories.
These miniatures were created in 2008 in an effort to venerate the Epic composer of Toos and also revive the outstanding traditions of Iranian miniature. To this purpose, with the collaboration of Mohammad Ali Rajabi, the permanent member of Iranian Academy of Arts as the secretary of the event and also the cooperation of 25 contemporary Iranian miniaturists, a number of 30 miniatures were created. These works of art were displayed for the first time the same year at the Iranian Academy of Arts and once again in 2019 at Saba Cultural Center. Presently, the artworks are being maintained at the Iranian Academy of Arts.
