'Iranology Room' Opened at Iran Cultural Center in Turkmenistan
On Tuesday May 19, 2020 and coinciding with Iranology Day, 'Iranology Room' was opened at the Cultural Center of the I.R. Iran in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

According to ECI public relations quoting IRNA, the opening ceremony of Iranology Room was attended by the diplomats of the Embassy of Iran in Ashgabat, Persian Language professors and Turkmens interested in the subject.
At the ceremony, Reza Khanian, Iran's cultural advisor said that several facilities have been provided at the venue including a collection of poetry books by great Iranian poets, several books on the topic of classic and contemporary literature, equipment to screen more than 350 Iranian movies as well as new music albums, brochures and books containing information on Iran's historical monuments and tourist attractions.
He further added that holding different art competitions as well as making and screening different video clips using Iranian and Turkmen music are other projects to be carried out here.
Elsewhere at the ceremony, two video clips illustrating the attractions of Iran and Turkmenistan made by the Cultural Center of the I.R. Iran were screened. Then some Turkmens interested in Iranian studies presented 12 articles on the cultural commonalities of the two countries and recited poetry of the great Iranian poets. The event concluded with offering gifts to the authors of the articles presented.
