Concurrently with Handicrafts Week, "Farzaneh Ceramic Museum" was inaugurated as the first specialized ceramics museum in Tehran.
According to the ECI public relations, present at the opening were the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Tehran Province, the Director General of Iran's museums and some arts and culture enthusiasts.
Farzaneh Ceramic Museum is the first specialized ceramics museum in Iran that is privately managed and holds a collection of artworks created by artist Leila Farzaneh, who has designed and produced her artworks drawing from ancient motifs in a modern expression of the art.
Conducting research and educational programs as well as holding exhibitions are among the most important activities to be carried out by the Museum. Moreover, the museum is open to public who may visit it in Niavaran neighborhood from 09:00 to 18:00.
