Ahmad Zaher, the Nightingale of Persian Classical Vocalisation
Coinciding with the anniversary of birth and demise of the renowned and outstanding Afghan vocalist, Ahmad Zaher, the ECO Cultural Institute released a statement on the occasion to commemorate the "nightingale of Persian vocalisation" and highlighted the necessity of preserving the memory of this popular, cultural figure in the public mind of the peoples of the ECO Region.

Today June 14, 2020, while more than 40 years has passed since the celebrated Afghan vocalist, Ahmad Zaher, passed away, the enchanting power of the voice of "Nightingale of Persian Vocalisation" beyond histories and museums is still living on and is communicating to us the concepts of "love and freedom".
Ahmad Zaher is a fine symbol of creating culture through art; hence, all of us, who are endeavoring for the promotion and recognition of the culture and identity of the east, have to be diligent in preserving and safeguarding the legacies of the cultural luminaries of the ECO region and keep the memory of the great popular artists such as Ahmad Zaher alive in the the minds of the nations.
