Attended by Iranian and Turkmen girls, the celebration of Hazrat Masumeh (s.a.) and Daughters' Day was held at Iran Cultural Consulate in Ashgabat.
According to ECI public relations quoting the public relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Iran cultural consulate in Turkmenistan organized a ceremony on the occasion of Hazrat Masumeh (s.a.) birthday and Daughters' Day at the conference center of the consulate which was participated by Iranian and Turkmen girls.
At the event, Reza Khanian, Iran's cultural councilor in Turkmenistan, delivered a speech congratulating the Daughters' Day and said: "Today is the birthday of Hazrat Masumeh (s.a.), the esteemed sister of Imam Reza (s.a.), whom the Turkmens call Qezel Imam".
'In order to honor girls, today is declared as Daughters' Day in Iran. On the other hand, in Turkmenistan we see that Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, the president of Turkmenistan, well notes the role of women, particularly girls, in Turkmen society and in this framework, the role of Turkmen girls is becoming more important', he added.
Sheida Asgharzadeh, the cultural expert of the consulate, was the next speaker who talked about the active role of girls in both Iran and Turkmenistan.
Other parts of the event included a comedy theater performance by the theater group of Iran's cultural consulate, a competition followed by awards ceremony and screening three video clips made by the consulate on the occasion about Iranian and Turkmen girls.
