Iran-Azerbaijan Discuss Coop.
Masumeh Ebtekar, the Iranian vice president for women and family affairs, and Bahar Muradova, Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children held an online meeting to discuss matters of mutual interest in the field of women and family affairs.

According to ECI public relations quoting Azertag new agency, at the online meeting, the two sides discussed issues pertaining to implementing the articles of the MoU signed in February 2016 between Azerbaijan's State Committee for Family, Women and Children and Iranian Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs.
At the meeting, Muradova stressed that the relations between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran have always been based on mutually beneficial cooperation and strong friendship, and serve the interests of our countries and peoples.
During the meeting, information was provided on the socio-psychological and financial assistance provided for vulnerable families during the pandemic.
Moreover, the Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children of the Republic of Azerbaijan, presented a report on the active presence of the country's women in the political and sociological life of the country.
In her turn, the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, expressed gratitude for the close cooperation and stressed the importance of the work done as a result of joint activities.
Giving detailed information about the positive experience gained in the field of women and family affairs, she also announced readiness to share such experience with the Azerbaijani colleagues.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on issues such as prevention of domestic violence, violence against women and children, ensuring gender equality in all areas, economic strengthening of women and also prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field.
Just a few months ago and by the decree of Ilham Aliyev, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Bahar Muradova, who was previously the first deputy of Azerbaijan Parliament, was a appointed as the Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
