A great ceremony was organized in Ashgabat city to honor and award the activists in the fields of arts and culture.
According to ECI public relations quoting turkmenistan.gov.tm, the ceremony was held at Mizan Cultural Center in Ashgabat where a number of artists were awarded Turkmen government prizes and winners of 'Tmrkmeniň Altyn asyry' (Golden Age of Turkmens) contest were announced.
This year's event was held on Arts and Culture Day and Makhtum-Qoli Firaqi's Poems day, which created an emotional atmosphere in the country. The audience eagerly listened to the message of the Turkmen President, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, and then artists were awards.
Elsewhere at the event, leaders of art groups, poets and writers, singers and musicians, masters of art and representatives of media took the stage to express their gratitude to Turkmenistan President for providing favorable conditions for the development of art in this country. At the end, a music performance was staged for the audience.
