H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan attended the virtual meeting 'The 3rd round of Afghanistan-Iran talks'.
On July 5, 2020, H.E. Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Tehran, attended the virtual meeting 'The 3rd round of Afghanistan-Iran talks' held at the initiative of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Afghanistan's Institute for Strategic Studies. Present at the online event were political, scientific and cultural figures of the two countries who exchanged views on regional and global issues.
In part of his speech, H.E. Liwal talked about the peace process initiated by Afghanistan government and the need to reach a regional consensus on the subject, as well as Afghanistan government's efforts made in cooperation with the Iranian officials to legalize the presence of Afghan refugees in Iran and their travels to and from this country in order to prevent unfortunate events.
The meeting concluded with the participants expressing gratitude to the organizers and calling for the continuation of such meetings at various levels and on different subjects.
