Number of Tourist Flights to Antalya Increases
The decline in the number of corona virus cases in Turkey has resulted in the increase of the number of foreign flights to the country's tourist areas.

Following the application of health measures and principles adopted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey in the fight against Corona virus, the 'Tourism Capital' of Turkey' has become host to thousands of tourists in recent days the way that on July 5, 2020, a number of 36 aircraft from 9 countries landed at Antalya airport.
During June, only 21,044 tourists had visited Antalya while in the first week of July, the number of visiting tourists to the area increased to 27,083 from among which 10,498 were Ukrainians.
Hygiene protocols are being strictly followed since the arrival at the airport through to transfer process to the hotel, during the stay and the use of recreational and health facilities.
"Since March 2020, this is the first time that the number of international flights to Antalya has increased as compared to the number of domestic flights to the city," Olkay Atmaja, president of the Turkish Association of Professional Hotel Managers, told Anadolu Agency.
Pointing to the necessity of receiving health security certification for hotels and guests houses with 50 rooms and more, Atmaja said: "The number of tourists has increased since July 1. The first arrivals have been from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine, and the number of tourists from these countries is still increasing."
"Turkey is in a good position in terms of food preparation hygiene and observing other sanitation protocols", he continued
Atmaja went on saying: "On July 5, 36 foreign flights from 9 countries landed in the coastal city of Antalya. This is a great success for this city."
