The commemoration of Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh was held in Tbilisi, Georgia.
According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting Report, present at the ceremony were the staff members of the Museum of Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh, the founder of Azerbaijan National Drama of and one of the outstanding figures of this country. Then flowers were offered to the grave of this celebrated figure which is located in Tbilisi Botanical Garden. Moreover, flowers were also put in front of his half-body statue erected in the Azerbaijani school of this city.
The year 2020 marks the 208th birth anniversary of Akhundzadeh. He was 66 years old when he passed away while he had lived 44 years of his life in Tbilisi.
