Afghan Film Marks 52nd Anniversary of Establishment
Afghan Film cinema organization marked the 52nd anniversary of its establishment.

According to ECI public relations quoting Afghan Film, present at the ceremony were the Minister of Information and Culture, Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, heads of the ministry, rector and professors of Fine Arts University and a number of filmmakers and cultural figures of the country as well as representatives of media.
At the 52nd anniversary of Afghan Film, Mahal Wak, a young Afghan actor and veterans including Mamnoon Maghsoudi, the dexterous artist, and Janab Khaksar, a master of comedy in Afghanistan cinema, were honored.
For investment in cinema equipment, Ali Foroutan was honored while Masoud Eslami was praised for producing and investing in independent cinema. Moreover, for promoting cinema culture and cinema halls, efforts of Nama Rasaneh family cinema were appreciated.
Further at the ceremony, two Afghan filmmakers, Nabi Tanha and Maryam Faqirzadeh, were also venerated for making Afghan Film activities more productive.
Other people commended by Afghan Film were two staff members of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Shafiq Ahmadizai, Head of the Minister's Office, and Liaqat Ali Afzali, Head of Finance and Administration department, for their professional cooperation with Afghan Film.
Afghan Film president Sahra Karimi said that she has made substantial changes to Afghan Film over the past year and hopes that the organization take considerable measures for the production of various films to represent Afghanistan.
Afghan Film is a government film agency affiliated with the Ministry of Information and Culture, which not only makes films but also possesses a rich repository of the history of Afghanistan's film and cinema.
