'Farida' Named Best Film at Russian Film Fest
Produced by Narimanfilm studio of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Movie 'Farida' was named best at the Russian film festival.

According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting day.az, the feature film won Best Director Award at the 4th Gorky Film Festival of Contemporary Russian Cinema held on July 7-23 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The Festival jury comprised of the best Russian actors. Actresses and directors.
Co-produced by Narimanfilm Studio and St. Petersburg School of New Cinema, the full-length feature film 'Farida' has been written and directed by Ksenia Lagutina. The main character is played by Maryam Ibrahimova, a young Azerbaijani actress.
'Farida' is about a young woman who has come from the Azerbaijani village of Khinalig to St. Petersburg looking for her husband. She is completely unaware of her husband's whereabouts. The big city draws many people to Farida's life and turns her life upside down.
