Tajikistan Submits New Proposals to UNESCO
Along with several other countries, Tajikistan has submitted proposals to UNESCO for the registration of traditional needlework (Suzandoozi), Rubab musical instrument, and Nasruddin Efendi's leta'if.

According tk ECO Cultural Institute quoting Khovar news agency, Zulfiya Davlatzoda, Tajikistan Minister of Culture, said that the Research Institute of Culture and Information together with the National Commission for UNESCO in Tajikistan, has submitted documents pertaining to the registration of Rubab (along with Iran and Uzbekistan), Sadeh festival (along with Iran), needlework (along with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan) and Leta'if Efendi (along with Turkey, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) to UNESCO.
At the press conference, the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan also added: "At the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, plans have been devised to preserve the intangible heritage of the Tajik people. Besides, another plan have been prepared for the development of cultural institutions enabling them to preserve historical monuments and prevent their smuggling."
