Releasing a statement, the Association of Tour Operators in Russia (ATOR) announced that following the resumption of Russia-Turkey flights which had been suspended for almost four months due to Covid-19 pandemic, it has started selling Turkish tours.
"Following the resumption of flights, the Russian tourism companies have also started selling tours to Turkey. In this regard, the sale of Istanbul tours will begin on August 1 while Antalya tours will be sold since August 10. Turkish tours are sold at very reasonable prices", the statement added.
Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Glikova Tatyana Golikova have also announced that on August 1, flights to Turkey will resume first to Istanbul and Ankara, and on August 10, Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum flights will be added to the tours.
It is worth mentioning that last year around 7 million Russian tourists visited Turkey, and Turkey is at the top of the list of most popular tourist destinations for Russians.
Meanwhile, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced in another statement that with the resumption of flights, both Russian and foreign airlines will continue rendering services both in the form of tariff and charter flights.
