Uzbekistan Presents Seven Historical Monuments of Bukhara to UNESCO
According to a Fars News Agency correspondent in Tashkent, seven cultural monuments of Bukhara will be presented for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan National Commission for UNESCO, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Institute for Central Asian Studies will prepare documents for the registration of "Silk Road: Zarafshan - Karakoram Corridor" (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) Chor Bakr Memorial Complex and Bahoutdin Naqshbandi Architectural Complex, architectural monuments such as Vobkent Minaret and Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum as well as three ancient cities of Bukhara Province" on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
This will not only increase the number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Uzbekistan but also contribute to the promotion of tourism in the country.
There are currently 829 tangible and cultural heritages in Bukhara Province under the auspices of the government which include 287 archeological works, 507 architectural works, 17 sculptures and 18 tourist attractions.
