The Kyrgyz short film "On a boat" won a prize at the International Film Festival in Denmark.
According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting kabar.kg, the film festival was held from 24 to 30 August in the Danish city of Odense, the birth place of the celebrated Danish writer-storyteller, Hans-Christian Anderson.
The competition program included a film by a young Kyrgyz director Baizak Mamataliev "On a boat", which won the prize for the best script.
The Odense International Film Festival (OFF) is Denmark's oldest and largest short film festival with a long and successful tradition, bringing together film fans every year from all over the world and from all genres not normally seen on the big screen.
Since 2013, the Festival has also been the first Danish film festival to be accepted as an Oscar qualifier for the short films category.
