Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Discuss Cooperation in Education
Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Dastanbek Dzhumabekov met with Deputy Head of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities Sayit Yusuf and Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Cengiz Kamil Firat

According to the ECO Cultural Institute quoting kabar.kg, Dzhumabekov thanked the Turkish side for assistance in providing quality education to Kyrgyzstan's younger generation in Turkey.
"Thanks to friendly and fruitful cooperation between our two countries, about 2 thousand students from Kyrgyzstan studied at the universities of Turkey under allocated state scholarships", the speaker noted.
In his turn, Sayit Yusuf informed the Kyrgyz speaker about the purpose of his visit. He has planned introductory meetings in Bishkek and in the regions of the country within the Turkish scholarship program.
Dastanbek Dzhumabekov suggested considering additional quotas for students from low-income families. He emphasized that the increase in the number of quotas will contribute to the development and rapprochement of the two peoples.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz parliament's speaker also expressed gratitude on behalf of the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and on his own behalf to the Turkish side for the humanitarian assistance, rendered to the Kyrgyz people in the difficult period of coronavirus pandemic.
