On Sunday, September 13, 2020, Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute, met with Dr. Ahmadi, Advisor to the Iranian Minister of Culture and the Director General of the Minister's Office, at the headquarters of this international organization.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, at this meeting, Sarvar Bakhti elaborated upon the restrictions created incurred during the Corona virus pandemic and its impact on the activities of the ECO Cultural Institute and said: 'Through staying active in the cyberspace, we won't let the joint collaborations of the ECO member states fade away'.
Referring to his recent visit to Isfahan and the establishment of the 1st ECI-Isfahan High Council of Cultural Tourism, he underlined: "We try to turn the threat occurred due to corona virus pandemic into an opportunity to further develop the interactions of the nations of the ECO region."
The ECI President further pointed to his previous meetings with the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the relevant deputies and added: "Bearing in mind the approach to further develop joint activities, we have many programs on the agenda in different areas such as publications, literature, cinema, music and celebrating cultural figures of the ECO region that require substantial support".
Also, at the meeting, the Adviser to the Minister and Director General of the Ministry of Culture and Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran praised ECI's activities during the pandemic restrictions, and stated: "All efforts should be oriented towards familiarizing the peoples of the ECO region with the different aspects of culture of their neighboring countries."
It is worth mentioning that at the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of ECI's collaborations with various deputies of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance as well as the acceleration of the implementation of joint programs.
