The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran congratulated his Turkmen counterpart on the On the Occasion of Turkmenistan Independence Day.
According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting President's website, the Iranian President congratulated his Turkmen counterpart on the anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence Day and stressed that the two countries, inspired by their shared cultural richness and historical background, will continue their valuable efforts to develop political, economic and cultural cooperation.

Honorable President of Turkmenistan,
I would like to offer my sincerest congratulations to your Excellency and the people of your country on the anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
As two close neighbours since the independence of that country, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkmenistan have shown excellent relations and good neighbourliness. I am confident that, inspired by the rich cultural and common historical background, the two countries will continue their valuable efforts to develop political, economic and cultural cooperation.
I wish your Excellency health and success, and the people of Turkmenistan prosperity and felicity.
