One of Labap province's carpet factories in has commenced its production programs ahead of schedule. Since the beginning of the year, the factory has produced 7.3 thousand square meters of carpets and rugs.
Compared to the same period last year, the carpet factory has practically increased production by 13% and 38% in financial volume. There are currently 2,300 people employed in this factory which is also building a branch in Guych Birleshik village to expand production.
At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on Friday, the President of Turkmenistan noted that extensive work has begun in the country to fully meet domestic demand for high-quality, environmentally friendly carpets and also promote them around the world, thus leading to increase in carpet export.
