Sarvar Bakhti, the President of Cultural Institute, and Mohammad Reza Noroozpour, Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), agreed to expand cooperation in the field of information dissemination.
According to ECO Cultural Institute, while paying visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency (IRNA) headquarters on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Sarvar Bakhti, the president of this international organization, met and talked with Mohammad Reza Noroozpour, IRNA Managing Director.
At the meeting, the ECI president pointed to the vast territory of ECO region possessing a common cultural heritage and emphasized: "Our Institute mainly aims to bring the regional nations together through cultural and social activities and considering IRNA's status and history, the news agency can assist us in this regard for the dissemination of information."
Sarvar Bakhti also welcomed any practical initiative to expand regional cooperation in the field of media, and suggested that considering that IRNA possesses rich photo archives, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency and the ECO Cultural Institute can organize joint cultural and historical photo exhibitions which was welcomed by IRNA MD.
Then IRNA MD, Mohammad Reza Noroozpour, hoped that Mr. Bakhti's visit to IRNA would be the beginning of closer cooperation between the two sides.
IRNA Chief also invited the ECI president to help the expansion of professional ties among the media outlets of ECO countries.
