Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the 9th Iran-Kazakhstan consular meeting was held through a video-conference.
According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting Iran Press/Iran news, the meeting was co-chaired by Consular Director General of Iranian Foreign Ministry Mahmoud Adib and his Kazakh counterpart Akhatayev Bavirjan.
The two sides agreed to facilitate issuing trade, tourism, and diplomatic visas, extend consular support for each other's nationals, help fight drug trafficking and organized crime, and exchange agreements on mutual cooperation in judicial affairs.
The Kazakh government has officially placed Iran on its e-visa list. By the end of coronavirus restrictions, Iranian citizens can obtain visas electronically at Kazakhstan entry points.
The meeting was concluded by signing of the respective protocol.
The 8th Iran-Kazakhstan consular meeting had been held on November 13-14, 2018 in Tehran.
