Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Iran met with the Chairman and members of the Iran-Tajikistan Parliamentary Friendship Group and stressed the need to consolidate cooperation between the two parliaments.
According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting the Tajiki section of Radio Seda-ye Khorasan, Nizomiddin Zohidi, Tajikistan Ambassador to Iran, met with Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi and stressed upon the importance of growth in economic and trade exchanges between Iran and Tajikistan. He then continued his remarks saying that Tehran and Dushanbe are complementary to each other in different areas of economy, industry and culture in a way that they could utilize such advantage to the benefit of developing and fostering mutual collaborations.
For his part, Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi, the Chairman of the Iranian-Tajikistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, pointed to the common cultural, religious and linguistic commonalities of the two countries as well as the two sides' long-lasting friendly relations and stated: "The expansion of friendly exchanges between Iran and Tajikistan in different fields and eliminating the obstacles on the path to mutual collaborations are among the subjects that Iran-Tajikistan Parliamentary Friendship Group seeks to address."
