"Peace Anthem" Poetry Night Held in Baghlan
The chairman of the Department of Information and Culture of Baghlan, in cooperation with the caretaker of the province, organized a poetry night titled "Peace Anthem" in which tens of poets participated.

According to ECO Cultural Institute quoting Bakhtar Agency, Abdul Bashir Az'har, chairman of Baghlan's Department of Culture and Tourism stated that the program was launched to provide opportunity the poets to recite poems on peace. He further added that all classes of the society are tired of war and seek stable, permanent peace across the country.
At the event, Zabihullah Ehsas, Baghlan's deputy governor and caretaker, talked about the different dimensions of the years-long war in the country and called on the opposition groups to stop violence and accelerate the peace process in the country. Zakaria Naseri, the chairman of Baghlan's Department of Information and Culture, said that 'poetry' is influential in all social aspects and asked the poets to include the subject of 'peace', as a commandment of both God and his prophet, in their poetry at this critical moment of time.
The event ended with the recitation of pieces of poetry in national languages on the theme of peace and distribution of gifts among some of the poets.
