On the occasion of the 700th birth anniversary of Kamal Khojandi, the famous poet of Tajikistan, the ECO Cultural Institute published the book "Forty Precept of Kamal Khojandi", by Tajik poetess Suraya Hassan Sultan.
ECI has published the book "Forty Precept of Kamal Khojandi", by Tajik poetess Suraya Hassan Sultan in Persian script. The book includes forty poems of Suraya Hassan Sultan on Kamal's poetry with an introduction by Sarvar Bakhti, president of ECO Cultural Institute, which reads: "Just as Kamal paid attention to the poets of his time and responded to their poems, his successors including Abulrahman Jami, Badruddin Hilali, Naziri Neyshabouri, Orfi Shirazi, Abdullah Hatef, Fakri Heravi, Shamseddin Shahin and tens of others have written on the poems of this nightingale of Persian literature and this testifies to the extensive popularity of Kamal's ghazals".
The book "Forty Precept of Kamal Khojandi" have been transcribed into Persian script by Shahmansoor Shahmirza, Tajikistan expert at ECI.
Earlier and on the occasion of the 700th birth anniversary of Kamal Khujandi, ECI had also published the book "Life and Works of Kamal Khujandi" written by Dr. Badruddin Maghsoodzadeh, the Tajik scholar, in Persian script. ECI is also planning other programs to be carried out on this occasion which will be announced soon.
