Afghanistan Cultural Week Inaugurated in Kandahar
This week Kandahar is set to host dozens of poets, writers, cultural figures, archaeologists, university professors, researchers and members of the Afghan Academy of Sciences to hold Afghanistan`s cultural week.

During the event an exhibition of books and historical works along with poetry and story critics circles will be held to mark 300th anniversary of the writing of the manuscript "Pata Khazana" (The Hidden Treasure).
During his visit to Kandahar, Ghulam Rasul Bawari, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information of Afghanistan, stated that the event aims to promote culture, to study historical monuments and to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the book Pata Khazana.
Visiting the historic Naranj Palace in Kandahar, he reiterates that the restoration of historical monuments and the promotion of culture and art are among the priorities of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
