On Monday, January 4, 2021, Sarvar Bakhti, President of ECO Cultural Institute and Seyed Jalaledin Alavi Sabzevari, Director General of Multilateral Economic Cooperation, MFA, met at this international institute.
According to the ECO cultural institute, the ECI President received Dr. Alavi in a cordial manner, congratulating him on assuming the new responsibilities.
Elaborating on the key part of strategies of the Institute to cooperate with ECO member countries, the ECI President, said: "Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, holding meetings has become almost impossible in the current climate, so ECO Cultural Institute is urged to organize series of virtual workshops, commemorations, and art exhibitions, in addition to publishing books and magazines. The Institute has also improved its website visibility and has optimized its social media presence."
Sarvar Bakhti further underlined the importance of the presence and participation of all ECO Member Countries in ECI activities.
While expressing thanks to ECI President, Dr. Alavi also referred to "culture" as a key factor for regional convergence and noted: "ECO Cultural Institute can play a constructive role in creating regional convergence."
The Director General of Multilateral Economic Cooperation also expressed his satisfaction with Sarvar Bakhti`s assuming the ECI presidency, and offered continued and complete support of Iran to the ECO Cultural Institute.
