The Department of Pashto Language was launched at the Islamic Azad University of Iran.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute quoting Shafaqna News Agency of Afghanistan, the department of Pashto Language was inaugurated during a virtual meeting held today between selected Azad Universities of Iran and Afghanistan with the presence of Dr. Abbas Basir; Minister of Higher Education of Afghanistan, Dr. Tehranchi Head of Islamic Azad University of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury Chancellor of Kabul University, Dr. Sharifi Head of Rabbani University of Education, Dr. Alaeddin Boroujerdi Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs of Islamic Azad University, Dr. Alireza Rajaei Representative of Iran`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, Ambassador of Afghanistan to Tehran, Dr. Aminian, Ambassador of Iran to Kabul and some other officials of the Islamic Azad University of Iran.
During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran universities.
