President Erdogan’s Message on International Day of Persons with Disabilities
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, “Our brothers and sisters with disabilities, who prove that they are an important part of society by engaging in all aspects of life, make us proud of the many achievements they have accomplished in sports, the arts, politics, education and business.”

According to the ECO Cultural Institute quoting Anadolu Agency Website, President Erdogan issued a message on the occasion of the "December 3 International Day of Persons with Disabilities".
Wishing that December 3 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, would be beneficial in taking new steps to improve the quality of life of the people with disabilities around the world and make their lives easier, President Erdogan said, "Our brothers and sisters with disabilities, who prove that they are an important part of society by engaging in all aspects of life, make us proud of the many achievements they have accomplished in sports, the arts, politics, education and business."
"We have brought solutions to many problems"
President Erdogan noted that as a state with the understanding that addressing the problems of people with disabilities is one of their priorities, they are seeking to stand by them in all matters and to make their lives easier.
President Erdogan stated that while implementing investment, service and legislative works that will remove physical barriers for citizens with disabilities, they have also focused on social activities that will break down the barriers in the hearts and minds, and continued as follows:
"With this sensitivity, as required by the understanding of the social state, we have brought solutions to many problems in the last 18 years, from education to home care services, from affirmative action policies in employment to the rights of the people with disabilities.
We did not leave our people with disabilities alone during the Coronavirus pandemic that affected the whole world. We have mobilized all our resources as a state to help them overcome the pandemic period with the least physical and mental impact. We will continue our efforts to ensure that our brothers and sisters with disabilities take part in social life more and increase their peace and well-being."
President Erdogan said he hopes that December 3 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, will lead to increased awareness towards people with disabilities in society and taking greater responsibility, and greeted with affection all people with disabilities who set an example for the society, by not losing their resolution and determination to fight against the challenges of life.
