Uzbek Foreign Minister Meets with CICA’s Executive Secretary
The Uzbek Foreign Minister met with the Executive Secretary of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Fars News Agency in Tashkent, Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, on a working visit to Tajikistan, met with Kairat Sarybay, Executive Secretary of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia.
During the meeting, Uzbekistan’s cooperation in the framework of the conference was discussed.
Sarybay valued Uzbekistan’s co-operation with the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia.
The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia (CICA) was first proposed by the then President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on October 5, 1992, during the 47th session of the UN General Assembly.
The theme of the CICA’s Regional Conference is interaction and measures, strategies and ways to achieve confidence in Asia.
The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia currently has 27 key members.
