Uzbek President pays official visit to Tajikistan at the invitation of his Tajik counterpart.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting Fars News Agency in Dushanbe, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Dushanbe from June 10-12 at the invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
During the visit, the leaders of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan intend to discuss the prospects of relations between the two countries in all fields. They will also analyze the process of implementing the previously reached agreements.
During the meeting, several new agreements is planned to be signed between the two countries in the fields of transport, energy, trade, finance, agriculture, culture and science.
Also there will be a joint concert by Tajik and Uzbek maestros entitled ‘Friendship Dinner’.
Earlier, the President of Uzbekistan traveled to Tajikistan in March for an official visit and in September 2018 to attend the Summit of the Commonwealth of Nations and then in June 14, 2019 to attend the fifth meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia.
