1050th anniversary of Abu Rayhan Al-Biruni, great scientist and philosopher of the East will be held in 2022-2023 with the participation of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO.
As reported by ECO Cultural Institute, quoting kultura.uz, according to Aziz Abdulhakimov, head of the National Commission for UNESCO in Uzbekistan, the decision was made at the 211th meeting of the executive council of the organization.
The plan was initiated by Uzbekistan, supported by Tajikistan, Iran and Turkey, and will be presented for final approval at the 41st session of the UNESCO Conference in Paris in November this year.
