Negarestan Museum Garden Hosts 1st Conf. of University Museums
The first scientific conference and festival of university museums started this morning in Bagh Negarestan (Museum of Science) of Tehran University.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, quoting the Culture and Art Department of the Scientific and Cultural Group of IRIB News Agency, the purpose of holding this scientific event is to acquaint the society with university museums, which can play an important role in the development of science and culture of the society. University museums play an important role in the fields of education, research and promotion of science and technology, and this opportunity can be used to compare their university museums with other university museums around the world.
In addition to public museums, universities have a variety of museums. The University of Tehran, as a leading university, has several museums at an acceptable and good levels.
This conference and 6 specialized sessions of selected articles are held virtually and in a limited manner with the presence of guests and the media. The basics of university museums, modern university museums, green university museums and the need to preserve cultural heritage, university museums and education, university museums and international interactions, university museums diversity and sustainable development are the topics of the specialized sessions of this scientific conference.
Besides the garden of Negarestan Museum and Moghadam Museum House, which are among the best and most well-known museums of the University of Tehran and even in the country, prominent museums such as zoological museums, archeology museum, museum of parasitology and University of Tehran are more advanced in the field of museology than many universities in the country.
The High Council for University Museums Policy, chaired by the President of the University, will launch a policy entitled “Museums, Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship”, which is a unique book in the field of museology.
