French Astronaut Shared the Photo of Kaaba from Space and Celebrated Eid al-Fitr
A French astronaut celebrated Eid al-Fitr by sharing the photo of Mecca and the Kaaba at night from space.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute; French astronaut Thomas Pasket, who was sent to the International Space Station by the Falcon 9 Space-X rocket, celebrated the Muslim Eid al-Fitr by sharing a photo of Mecca and Kaaba in all its glory at night from space.
Pasket tweeted “Mecca! It is so bright, it’s dazzling” in English and French with the caption “Happy Eid”.
Social media users responded positively to the message from the French astronaut, who conveyed his wishes for the vacation.
The French ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ludovic Pouille, also retweeted the post with Pesquet: “the message that Mekka-i Muqerreme looks great from space.” 
Ambassador Ludovic Pouille stated that 6,000 French citizens in Saudi Arabia are proud and happy with this gesture.
