Sarvar Bakhti, President of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), met with Seyed Amir Parvin Hosseini, CEO of the Iranian Film and Video Producers Union, on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, at the meeting, Sarvar Bakhti, said that promoting cultural commonalities and expanding relations between the 10 ECO member countries requires the utmost utilization of the artistic capacities and artists in the region. Cinema will increase the friendship between the ECO nations.
Referring to some of the ongoing programs of ECI to foster communication between the filmmakers in the member countries, he added: "filmmakers in the ECO Region, wherever they are, share common cultural background."
While welcoming the views of "Sarvar Bakhti" in utilizing arts to promote friendship between the nations of the 10 ECO member countries, Seyed Amir Parvin Hosseini, a veteran producer in Iranian cinema, said: "We have similar ideas on joint film productions."
He also voiced the readiness of the Iranian Film and Video Producers Union for cooperation with ECI and said: "Iranian cinema is ready to play a role in expanding friendship and promoting relations with the nations of the ECO region."
It is worth mentioning that at the end of the meeting, ECI President e and the Managing Director of the Iranian Film and Video Producers Association agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the near future.
