Turkish national wrestler Polat Polatçı won the gold medal
According to the ECO Cultural Institute, Turkish national wrestler Polat Polatçı was behind his Russian rival Ali Magomed Aliyev 13-6 in the final in the European Youth Wrestling Championship in Dortmund, Germany, and became the European champion by beating his opponent with a pin.
In 70 kg, Mevlüt Özdemir defeated Serbian Viktor Voinovic from repechage 8-4 and placed third. İsmail Küçüksolak beat Azerbaijani Sabuhi Amiraslanov 7-6 in repechage at 79 kg. İsmail Küçüksolak then beat his Georgian rival Otari Adeishvili with the pins while he was ahead 10-7 and won the bronze medal.
